Amazon.com Product Description
With its durable non-stick soleplate, this easy-to-use lightweight iron provides great glide speed and performance. The iron features a temperature-control dial and an adjustable-steam dial that supplies minimum steam for wool or maximum steam for linen. Pushing the Easy Mist button releases a fine spray of water for difficult wrinkles in cotton or linen. Setting the dial to O changes the setting to dry iron. The unit’s water tank has an 8-ounce capacity, and its full-view water reservoir shows when the tank needs refilling. Other useful features include a power light, a convenient heel rest, and a push-button retractable cord. The iron measures approximately 11-1/2 by 5 by 5-1/2 inches and carries a six-month limited warranty.

Great Flat Iron
As always I like this product, I used this before and lasted for almost 5 years with no problem, I used it 3 times a week.

Great simple iron
This is one of the bet irons I have had. I heats up quickly, and does not have a lot of fancy features. It is very lightweight and I feel mush less fatigue.

Cheap, lite-weight, heats up quick, slides easily, stores its own cord. What’s not to like?

I just bought this iron on the recommendation of the previous review and have to agree. My only mini-criticism is that the retractable cord compartment is at the bottom of the iron (naturally) and it makes the iron a bit bulkier than one without this feature. In spite of that, I found it perfectly fine. Everything worked as it should.
It even uses plain old tap water.

Proctor-Silex Lightweight Iron
Very light-weight compared to previous electrical irons I have used. The retractable cord feature makes the iron easy to use and easy to store.

I bought this iron after seeing all the positive reviews and since it was included on a recent Amazon 4-for-3 sale. I wish I’d looked at similar Proctor-Silex iron reviews such as the Easy Press Retractable Cord Lightweight Iron because this iron definitely has the same major problem…it leaks water all over your clothes! Any time you have water in the reservoir and bring the iron from upright to horizontal to iron, a fair amount of the water just drips right on the clothes. Not sure if this is a specific defect with the iron I got and others haven’t noticed it, but it is very obvious on my model, and the other reviews mentioning it on the similar model would indicate a design flaw. It’s a shame, as I love the retractable cord option, but I need an iron that also works properly, and this one simply does not.
