    Not that great
I received this product as a gift and used it often. The Italsteam does work if you follow the directions, but this steam iron feels very cheaply made.

This product works perfectly fine as long as you maintain it as it tells you to. After every use you are suppose to clean it out so you dont have this “brown stuff.” The brown stuff is the chemical reaction between the salt and the steaming water. In order to prevent it from coming out of the steamer, you are suppose to wash your italsteam after every use, failure to do so will make the “brown stuff” to come out. I have used it tons of times on my Suit just before it needs to be used and no stains or anything but steam coming out of it. Works perfectly for me.

If you need a light weight travel steam iron this works perfectly.

If you plan on using it and not maintaining it as instructed, then this may not be the product for you.

Very worth my $35 at the mall.

  3. Gali Says:

The “brown stuff” mentioned in some of the reviews for this product is most likely rust. If this iron works like a similar model I’ve owned in the past, it probably requires salt to be added to the water. The added salt would further accelerate the formation of rust.

You may have some luck removing rust stains from clothing using fresh or bottled lemon juice on the stains and allowing the clothing to dry in the Sun. Then, wash the clothing as usual. If that doesn’t work, you may want to try a product know as, “Iron Out.”

Summit Brands #IO12N 18OZ Super Iron Out

In any case, try to remove the rust stains BEFORE you put the clothing through the dryer (i.e., first try lemon juice and then try Iron Out). Otherwise, the heat from the dryer may cause the stains to set permanently.

This stream iron doesn’t work it just blows steam and brown stuff on my husbands white dress shirts (the brown stuff does not come off. I called and emailed custmer service they never responded. I paid 40 for this at the mall. Totally ripped off.

    DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
We bought this product at a mall. When we got home and used it for the first time, it was so hot to the touch that we were practically screaming.

    ZERO STARS
A total waste of money! I spent $60 on this steamer only to find that it is cumbersome and the steam only lasts for about 5 minutes before having to refill it.

    Do not buy
I bought one from a mall kiosk. Problems: (1) black water will get on your clothes if you are not careful to rinse it out each time.

    Italsteam
I like most people are very cynical about Infomercial products or items that are sold in the kiosk malls. For some reason I wanted to try this Italsteam product.

    This thing is HORRIBLE
DO NOT BUY. Learn from my mistake.
I am a jerk for buying THREE at the mall. I was weary at first, but I tried it and it really seemed to work.

Worst iron I have ever used
Works for one or two times and gone. I bought at a mall kiosk and I made a mistake. That brown stuff spilled all over my carpet and I got to find a way to clean that.

    DO NOT Buy
Do not buy. This was such a waste of my money. It did not work at all and the brown stuff got all over my cothes.

    Mine blew up on me
We bought one at the mall and when I brought it home, I tried it and when I pluged it in, it worked fine. I let the steam run out pretty much and then added some more water.

    Feels a bit sketchy, but…
I also got this from a mall kiosk, and I’ve only been using it about 2 weeks. It starts quicky, generates a LOT of steam and stops quickly when it gets tipped over.
