   I bought one of these irons 9 months ago, and I immediately threw out all of the warranty and the box. Within 3 months (and I used the iron maybe 3 or 4 times) the handle was cracked and leaking water. This problem was progressive and finally the handle came away from the iron and the buttons at the top of the iron popped off. I will never buy another Black & Decker appliance again. Just not well made the non-stick surface wears off, and yes I know that this is the cheapest iron around but I had a previous one (given as a gift) that I had for 10 years and never had a lick of trouble.

   I bought this iron at Target 10 days ago and it worked fine for about 5 normal ironing sessions — but this morning when I went to use it, it refuses to heat up. I checked the outlet I was using and checked the circuit breaker — they’re both fine, the iron has just quit on me. This product must be defective, at least the one I bought — I’m going back to Target to exchange it.
